Blog Entry 5 – Project 1: Research
Looking at Levi van Veluw work he has a lot of picture of
just his face, but what is on his face seems to play a big role on how his face
look, especially in his ball point pictures.
His art seems to just be a reflection of a curtain feeling he is having. But this type of art I can really relate to
with the music I listen to. The music I
listen too is always dependent on the mood I am in. This is something that is very simple to show
but the way Levi shows it is very unique.
Catlin Harrison has some a neat self-portrait of
herself. But what is really interesting about
it is that she drew a separate image to describe different parts or
herself. Almost like there are certain
thing about her that conflict but to her work out perfectly. I can also relate to this because I also feel
like certain parts of me conflict. For example,
when I am Mennonite but I love to see violent movies. Catlin has a great way to show herself as a
person.
